Labor Pains: Are Local Democrats Still the Party of Working Families?
February 20, 2010 The Monroe County Democratic Committee pulled strings and twisted arms to renominate Commissioner Cynthia Elliott, much to the chagrin of many committee members (though voters ratified that choice). Now, two school district unions are declaring open war on the local party -- though not its labor-friendly candidates. Where do Monroe County Democrats go now?
